A Day in the Life of an Alzheimers Ambassador
I was delighted to be invited to become an Ambassador in 2019. To illustrate the nature of this role I'm using this blog to share a recent event I supported. I was interviewed by Adam Buckles, Head of Legacies at the Alzheimers Society. The event was hosted by their fabulous CEO, Kate Lee, to engage and acknowledge some of their legacy giving supporters.
Many of my followers know the reason why I have chosen to support the Alzheimers Society - in memory of my dad who passed away from the disease in August 2019.
"Since 2017 I have raised over £17,000 for the charity and the mission continues with a very special car - the MGA Twin Cam my father owned for 53 years and which, having randomly found on eBay, I bought back and am using to raise money and awareness of the disease."
For those that knew this, or are perhaps learning this for the first time, my interview with Adam sees me sharing my background for supporting the charity to date, the journey so far with dad's car and the reasons why it is SO important to leave a gift to charities in our wills.
The recording is available on my YouTube channel: Click HERE for my recorded interview
Enjoy and thank you all for your support.
